Warm Apple Cider: My Fall Favorite Recipe! :)
Making apple cider is one of my favorite fall activities. The first time I had warm apple cider was at a Dickensfair, an annual holiday event where you could be transported to the 1840s and enjoy what life might have looked like in Victorian London. If you came here from my recent YouTube video, here is the recipe for warm apple cider.
Ingredients
• 5 apples of your choice (depending on sweetness, tartness, and personal preference) I personally chose:
• 1 Cosmic Crisp
• 1 Envy Apple
• 1 Gala Apple
• 2 Honeycrisp apples
• 4 cinnamon sticks
• 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
• 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice powder
• 1 vanilla bourbon bean (cut and extract aromatic vanilla insides)
• Raw manuka honey (or Wildflower Honey for a lighter body, date syrup, raw honey, or maple syrup for a richer body)
Instructions
1. Cut the apples into slices or chunks.
2. Arrange the apple pieces as you like.
3. Add the apple pieces into a pressure cooker with all of the warm spices. Pour in around 6 to 8 cups of water.
4. Cook for around 15 minutes after the pressure indicator is on.
5. Allow the mixture to cool down slightly, then use a cheesecloth to strain the mixture.
6. Serve the warm apple cider with a cinnamon stick for garnish.
7. Optional: Take the pulp, remove the cinnamon sticks, and use it with some puff pastry to make an apple pie.
I hope you enjoy this recipe and my cozy fall vlog! This is seriously one of my biggest joys during the Fall/holiday season <3
